Introduction:

This case study delves into the design process of a government project aimed at creating a user-friendly portal for individuals to sign up, complete their profiles, and apply for various opportunities based on specific criteria. The project prioritizes a mobile-first approach, catering to a younger demographic, and adheres to 508 compliance and ADA standards.

The primary objective was to design a seamless portal that enables users to intuitively navigate through signing up, completing profiles, and applying for opportunities while ensuring accessibility compliance.

Understanding the user demographics and the legacy system provided crucial insights into user expectations and functionalities required. A thorough analysis of the existing system revealed areas for improvement, particularly in simplifying the profile completion process and enhancing navigation.
