Bio

A long way around to the work I love.

I started in HCI graduate research — building, breaking, and rebuilding small tools to understand how real people make sense of complex systems. That habit never left.

Today my work splits across three threads: enterprise UX for daily, expert users; research as the connective tissue that keeps design honest; and AI experiences, where the design problem is rarely about the model and almost always about trust, control, and recoverability.

When I'm not designing, I'm teaching part-time at SCAD and mentoring early-career designers — or trying to be a slightly better gardener than I was last weekend.
